The cell Ravdouhou or Ravda is the former monastery located in the northeast direction from the monastery of Koutloumousiou. This is the most ancient monastic settlement on the Mount Athos, more ancient than the Great Lavra. It was constructed in the IX century. According to some sources it also the most ancient monastic community in .jpg) Europe with 12-century history. From XII till XIV century the monastery occupied 14th place in the hierarchy of the monasteries of the Sacred Mountain, but in the second half of the XIV century it had fallen into decay because of frequent Muslim attacks and then it had passed in the category of cells. The beginning of the XX century was very difficult for this cell as almost all its buildings decayed. Since 1990 the condition of the cell is improving gradually, the buildings are restored. Now the cell belongs to the monastery of Pantokratoras. The katholikon of the church is dedicated to the Theotokos.

 The cell Panagia is located near to the top of Mount Athos.” Those who did not visit the top of the mountain can say they did not visit the Mount Athos even if they have been to all its monasteries and cells” say the pilgrims. According to the legend the Virgin once ascended the top of the Mountain. In the place where she stayed to rest the cell representing a charming oasis among deserted hillsides was founded. The cell is surrounded by a stone fence along which the tall pines, last representatives of the local flora gradually disappearing towards the peak of the mountain. The distance from the cell to the top of the mountain is about one and a half hour of walking but it is the most difficult part of the way as the lifting becomes steeper. However the end of the route is already clearly visible to a pilgrim. It is the small church crowning with peak of the well-known Athos Mountain.

 The cell of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker is located in 15-20 minutes of walking from the monastery of Filotheou. It is located in a wide valley and surrounded by high mountains and hills. According to the legend, this cell was founded in the beginning of the XIV century by several monks from the Greek monastery searching for solitude and in 1860 it had passed in Russian possession.

 Leaving the Ascension of Jesus cell and having gone down in a ravine to the big source and having passed the picturesque groves it is possible to to get to the cell of Saint Euthimius. The cell represents one of the typical Athos cells with the abundance of various gifts from its gardens.

The cell of Ascention is located between Karakallou and Philotheou monasteries. The cell was founded in XVII century and became Russian in 1855.
The katholikon of the skete possesses two remarkable icons of the Saviour and Virgin Mary painted in Palestinian style. The Saviour is depicted with raised blessed hand, the icon creates and image of pensive Christ. Virgin Mary with baby Jesus is depicted running with her veil fluttering.
